The Samsung Omnia is an awesome device–even in CDMA incarnation–with nice specs, a simple design, and an awesome camera for a Windows Mobile phone. Heck, we even gave one away recently. It looks like Samsung wants to follow up a great phone with another great phone. Dubbed the Omnia HD, the Windows Mobile cousin to the Symbian cousin code named Acme, the device will feature Windows Mobile 6.5. Unwired View obtained preliminary information with Samsung’s Windows Phone Omnia HD along with 9 other unannounced devices for 2009. Samsung will also debut an Android phone as well if everything pans out.
As a Windows Phone, the Omnia HD will be an great multimedia phone. Its Symbian cousin offers 8 GB or 16 GB of storage, an 8-megapixel camera with a real flash, HDMI output, DivX support, and all the typical smartphone goodies like 3G, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
