Lately the whole social networking for music thing has seen a resurgence. Spotify has some cool Facebook integration and iTunes’ Ping is another attempt at socializing users music libraries. Of course we know Zune kind of invented the idea many years ago, although I think Microsoft got the idea to do a legal music-sharing social network from the illegal-days of the original Napster.
Anyway, the Zune HD’s Facebook app had this really cool feature where you could post comments about what you were currently listening to and it would include a link to that specific song along with album art right on Facebook so that anyone could click on it and get samples as well. We’ve been hoping and wishing that feature would come to Windows Phone, but still haven’t seen it yet.

However, today it seems the web-based Zune Social has been upgraded to now support this feature. Previously the Facebook “Like” button on the Zune Social would only post a link to the album on your Facebook profile. Now it has been upgraded so that you can include a comment along with the post in order to give your friends some context just like the Zune HD originally offered.
