After yesterday’s cornucopia of information regarding the mysterious Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone, the handset codenamed “Zeus” is hinted to have its own gaming platform called Z-System – probably deriving from the codename – which is just another hint of its existence.
One of the device pictures Engadget published – above – has an upper left reference to a string called Z-System which links to a domain called z-system.com owned by Sony Ericsson. Furthermore, looks like the joint venture is also a trademark holder for Z-System in the U.S. (our source also mentions Benelux and possibly other regions) with registered products and services consisting of “software for interacting or playing with electronic or video games” so it’s clear that it’s not about hardware but software – hinting the existence of a platform. All this goes into the rumor category for now until an actual device is one way or the other announced.
