LG Monaco, a QWERTY slider that is rumored to arrive with Windows Mobile 7 when released, was recently spotted with Telus carrier branding, Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional, and LG’s S-Class user interface. The device was also part of the AT&T leaks/rumors earlier, and was expected to reach AT&T this September, but that never came to be.
The LG Monaco features a zippy Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, putting it on speed par with the HTC HD2, however the device’s 3.2-inch touchscreen is more in line with the HTC Touch Diamond2. The device’s form factor with the sliding QWERTY will make it more competitive with the Touch Pro2 although the Monaco lacks the tilting screen.
