Pocketnow has teamed up with Verizon Wireless on a pretty unique contest for people living in the tristate area surrounding Philadelphia, PA, which includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Verizon has several stores-on-wheels, formally known as Sales Trailer and Remote Stores (STAR). These STAR locations are great ways to try out the latest Verizon phones and tablets in a unique setting. These stores will be moving around the tristate region from now until the end of August. The schedule has been posted online, and if you’re able to stop in a STAR, be sure to checkin on Foursquare and mention the @VZWPhillyMetro Twitter handle, and you’ll be entered into a contest to win an HTC Thunderbolt. What’s more, for each check-in, Verizon Wireless will make a $1 donation to a local domestic violence organization. Finally, those that check-in will get a $50 coupon off a Verizon Android smartphone.
