Dataviz, the makers behind Documents to Go, has announced that development efforts for Documents to Go for webOS is now at a standstill. The company had long promised that it will be bringing its Office viewing and editing suite for Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint files to webOS, but now the company has announced that “given the current environment at Palm” that they cannot offer a release date.
At the time of release, webOS was made an attractive enterprise phone, especially with the Pre being the first smartphone to support multiple Exchange accounts. However, the continued lack of an Office editing and viewing suite may make it hard for Palm to target business customers.
