According to John Johnson from Verizon Wireless, the carrier isn’t bringing any Apple products to the market in the immediate future, squashing rumors that an Apple iPhone could be ready for Verizon Wireless’s network by next week’s WWDC announcement. Johnson downplayed the iPhone, saying that it won’t be ready in the immediate future, and instead focused attention to the hugely popular Droid Incredible smartphone that runs the Android operating system and comes with HTC’s Sense user interface.
Johnson’s statement still hints at the possibility of a Verizon phone. He also talks about 4G and that Verizon Wireless will have its LTE smartphones out in early 2011. Can iPhone HD 4G be out next year for the carrier?
