Verizon is determined to take 4G LTE seriously and to testify to that, Keith Lampron, Verizon’s associate director of device marketing, called the technology a “hard requirement”.
He also revealed that the carrier is not committed to only supplying Android and Apple devices; Windows Phones and BlackBerry smartphones are more than welcome to join the line-up, as long as they support 4G LTE. This probably explains the lonely HTC Trophy on Verizon but with the Titan II and Lumia 900 Windows Phones proving 4G LTE support on AT&T, everything is possible.
Simply put, any device that will be part of the future Verizon line-up will support 4G LTE, regardless if it is running one platform or the other, or whether it is a smartphone or a tablet.
