Sometimes, we have the opportunity to tell you about a hot leaked ROM, or an eagerly-anticipated update arriving suddenly out of the blue; sadly, this is not one of those times, with news coming our way of delays in getting code out to a couple smartphones on T-Mobile.
Just this morning, we reported on the new software becoming available for the Dell Venue Pro, not just for international users, but those on T-Mobile in the States, as well. This news came straight from Dell’s rep via Twitter, so it seemed authoritative. Not so fast, though, because a follow-up tweet has revealed that the release for T-Mobile users has been delayed, and they’re going to have to wait until sometime next week.
Another T-Mobile phone, we looked at the new lawsuit concerning the LG G2x yesterday evening. That case deals with the absence of an any update from LG that manages to fix the various freeze and reset-related problems users report plaguing their phones. We had been expecting some sort of update addressing these problems, as well as a Gingerbread update, possibly rolled into one. LG may not have a statement yet regarding the lawsuit, but in regards to the G2x update, it now says that “by summer” is the official word (wouldn’t that mean BEFORE summer?) and that “all of the internal discussions thus far have it launching very close to that timeframe”.
