While we still haven’t seen the Toshiba TG01 with its zippy Snapdragon processor clocking in at a lightning 1 GHz here in the United States despite FCC rumors, it seems that Toshiba is moving forward for the rest of the world with a TG02 leaked by the WiFi alliance.
With most Windows Mobile makers moving towards second generation devices, Toshiba doesn’t want to be left out. The TG02 will be the successor to the TG01, placing Toshiba in the second-generation league with Sony Ericsson and the XPERIA X2, HTC with the Touch Pro2, and Samsung with the Omnia II.
While specs aren’t clear about the Toshiba TG02, we do know it will support WiFi. In earlier leaks, the TG02 is said to be a rugged version Earlier leaks of the device show it as being an incremental upgrade from the original TG01. The successor is said to be a rugged device and can handle a few splashes here and there.
