Swedish based Spotify is a peer-to-peer music streaming service and application software that became uber-popular in Europe with its more than one million paid subscribers and it appears that it will be coming (very) soon to the U.S.
Jonathan Forster from Spotify told the press in London that the company is “signing the remaining deals as I speak”. Even so, he quickly added that the service will not launch before July 5 though. Spotify offers both ad-supported (more than ten million users) and ad-free versions for its music streaming offerings and has long considered an entry on the U.S. market. It could happen in a couple of weeks when it will start competing with names like Rdio, Mog and Slacker.
