Samsung is rumored to be bringing a super AMOLED display to a phone that is said to be announced at Mobile World Congress. What’s special about the super screen? Super AMOLED screen technology, or whatever name it will be called, will offer 20% better outdoor visibility and five times more vivid colors.
There have been concerns within the tech community that AMOLED screens aren’t as readable outdoors compared to traditional LCD displays on smartphones. However, AMOLEDs already offer brighter, more vivid colors, and deeper, darker blacks than LCD counterparts. With enhanced colors, it will be interesting to see how photos and videos will appear on the five-times more vivid super AMOLED displays.
The Samsung handset to be announced is said to have a screen that measures 3.3 inches with a WVGA resolution.
