The Samsung Galaxy S, announced at CTIA Spring 2010, will be one of the most powerful smartphones released this year and is rumored to be landing on a number of carriers, including T-Mobile. Now that FCC has approved a Samsung Galaxy S T959 model with support for T-Mobile’s AWS 3G bands in the US, the carrier may be close to releasing the phone.
The Galaxy S features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1 GHz CPU based on the Hummingbird design, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus (no flash) and 720p HD video recording, TouchWiz UI, and some custom software and widgets from Samsung including a Daily Brief widget that serves as a Today screen like on classic Windows Mobile as well as a Samsung ebooks store.
