Those rocking smartphones operated by Samsung‘s own Bada mobile platform are probably familiar with Samsung Apps, a mobile and TV application store. Now Samsung Apps is adding another payment option in 11 countries: operator billing.
Operator billing is added as a payment option in addition to already existing ones like credit card, prepaid cards and cyber cash. Whenever something is purchased, users are able to either pay for the downloaded content with the occasion of their monthly bill or have the price deducted from their prepaid SIM account.
The new payment options will be rolled-out gradually throughout the year 2011 and since April 28, operator billing is possible in countries like Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Ukraine, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and India.
