Want to text and email quickly? There’s a Trophy for that. Want to browse the web and surf pocketnow.com? There’s a Trophy for that. The HTC Trophy is a gadget-lover’s dream and arrives in a form factor that’s relatively rare–the device has a front-facing QWERTY keyboard so you don’t have to clumsily to re-orient into landscape and waste time to slide the screen upwards and it also has a touchscreen in portrait orientation, unlike the square screens of the Palm Treo or the landscape-oriented screens on devices like BlackBerry Bold or the lower resolution QVGA non-touch display of the HTC Snap.
The Trophy was leaked before as part of HTC’s roadmap and there has been a more recent picture floating around that looks to be relatively attractive–the device uses a 3-inch VGA touch display in portrait mode and seemingly has keys from the HTC Snap’s keyboard. That rendering, was proved later to be false and not an actual rendering of the real device; the artist, a member of XDA-Developers, had created what he hoped to be his trophy in the HTC Trophy.
