Smudges and fingerprints are one of the most annoying things that can happen to your smartphone especially if you’re the type of person who likes to always look at a nice and shiny screen without text being sometimes blurred by all the dirt on the display.
Nokia is working on a special coating that will prevent fingerprints and smudges on screens or at least dramatically reduce them. The nano coating technology is called super hydrophobic and, applied as thin layer to the glass, repels water and other liquids like the oil from your fingers. The technology was demonstrated at Nokia World in London on a Nokia 700 and the Finnish manufacturer is proud that the coating itself doesn’t reduce screen visibility.
