Nokia Phone With “Unusual Software Feature” to Debut at MWC?

This year’s Mobile World Congress is just a few weeks away, and we’re already very excited to get the chance to see all the hot new smartphones that didn’t make it to the CES. There are a few Nokia models we’ve been hearing about lately, and a new rumor out today says that the manufacturer will reveal at least one of them at the event.

Now, that bit alone shouldn’t be very surprising, but it’s another aspect of the information tied to this rumor that has us very curious. According to Forbes, one of Nokia’s partners with knowledge of its MWC presentation claims that the handset to be announced will “run an unusual software feature normally found only on high-end smartphones.”

That’s got us really scratching our heads. We don’t normally associate specific software with high-end versus low-end smartphones; it’s the hardware that differentiates them, by-and-large. Just what could we be talking about here?

As for what phones might be in the running, we could still see the Lumia 910, even if there have been signs that the 900 itself might arrive internationally. Then there’s Symbian territory, where we’ve heard about plans for the Nokia 803, and more recently, the 801. Then again, for all we know, Nokia could end up surprising us all.
