The MeeGo-powered “pure-touch” Nokia N9 introduced in June is probably going to get a PR1.1 update by the end of the year, according to recent reports.

The phone which we have unboxed and examined from the hardware perspective is running MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan and the platform, while not as mature as Android or iOS, is looking really good. However, there are several ways to improve it as well as the N9 experience so a PR1.1 update this year would not only make the device better but demonstrate Nokia’s commitment to maintaining the product active.
