Overnight, we told you about the big MeeGo Harmattan PR1.2 update that will soon be going out to owners of the N9. All told, PR1.2 is supposed to be one pretty-darn feature-packed release, containing what Nokia claims to be over 3,500 fixes and other improvements. While that all sounded great, we still didn’t know just when the update would be arriving. It’s still nothing absolute, but some tweets from a Nokia employee now give us an idea of just when PR1.2 might land for the N9.
Sotiris Makrygiannis is Nokia’s Director of applications for Meego, so he’s certainly someone who should be in the loop regarding PR1.2. When asked if he’d be willing/able to help narrow-down the PR1.2 release window a little bit, he alluded to the upcoming leap day at the end of February. That may have just been fanciful wishing, but maybe we should start looking at the latter part of that month for as a likely candidate for the update’s arrival.
As if PR1.2 didn’t sound like it would be big enough, Makrygiannis also hinted that PR1.3 may arrive shortly thereafter. Right now, we’re in the dark as to what it might include; Makrygiannis describes it as a “small but still valuable update”, which has us well intrigued.
