T-Mobile will be releasing the Symbian^3-powered C7 as the Nokia Astound, reports TmoNews, and not the Tiger (which was apparently its internal codename). The handset will supposedly go on sale April 6th for $80 after rebates. TmoNews tells us to expect an official announcement next week at CTIA.
Introduced last September alongside the E7 Communicator and C6 QWERTY slider, the C7 is a 3.5-inch, nHD candybar with ClearBlack display, 680MHz CPU, 256MB of RAM, and 9GB of storage. Interestingly, this may just the first of five Symbian devices from Nokia that land on Magenta this year, prior to the company’s Windows Phone 7 transition.
