Sony Ericsson announced the Vivaz Pro, a Symbian handset that takes on the Vivaz slab form factor but adds a sliding keyboard in landscape mode, much like the Touch Pro2 sans tilt. It looks like Sony Ericsson is working a lot of magic–according to the firm, the difference between the keyboard-less Vivaz and the sliding brother in the Vivaz Pro is a mere 2 mm! The handset features a 3.2-inch touchscreen that features a 16:9 aspect ratio, an 8-megapixel camera that’s capable of 720p video recording, and 720 MHz processor. The keyboard looks spacious.

The handset is expected for a second quarter release.
