LG had announced the LG GW990 at CES, a smartphone that uses Intel’s Moorestown CPU and the Intel Moblin OS. According to the latest reports coming from Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, LG has confirmed that the LG GW990 will now be powered by the MeeGo OS. MeeGo was announced also at MWC by Nokia and Intel–the two giant mobile forces are teaming up to combine the best features of Maemo and Moblin, both Linux operating systems, into one open-source operating system.
