Moving on from December’s Beta 3, Mozilla has updated its work on Firefox 4 for Android and Maemo phones to Beta 4, bringing new features, bug fixes, and some supposedly impressive speed boosts.
As far as platform-specific improvements, Android users have a few to look forward to, including screen optimizations for both very large and very small Android displays, and the resolution of some lingering text-entry issues.
Mozilla is also taking the opportunity of this Beta release to flaunt the growing library of add-ons for mobile Firefox, now numbering over one hundred.
You can check out both editions of Firefox 4 Beta 4 yourself, available for download now at firefox.com/m.
