It’s funny that the day after writing Why an eBook Reader Would Change My Life, and Yours, we get a tip that Gizmodo has posted pictures of what is alleged to be the next generation Sony Reader.
What’s different? The front looks less cluttered with buttons, though in actuality, the number buttons have just been relocated to the side of the screen. It’s also got double the internal memory, allowing for 160 books instead of 80 (though, as always, you can use Memory Sticks to increase capacity), plus an improved screen.
We know nothing else about this unit – release dates, price, etc – but it will probably be released within the October/November time frame at the same price point as the current Reader, which is $299.
