We were wondering what exactly that major announcement HTC was going to make today was and here it is: HTC and Beats by Dr. Dre announced a partnership to create superior mobile audio experiences for consumers, resulting in a line of HTC phones integrated with Beats sound innovations.
HTC phones that will arrive as part of the HTC-Beats line-up this fall will offer the highest-quality of sound possible. “Beats has found a unique way to harness popular culture in a manner that is unlike any other brand today”, said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. “We believe our strategic partnership will provide customers with unbeatable sound on HTC phones. We obsess over every detail of a consumer’s mobile experience and audio is a critical part of that experience”.
Another part of the announcement is that, when HTC phones will be arriving this fall with Beats, Best Buy will be the place to get them from. “Our customers have clearly responded to Beats and HTC, and Best Buy is proud to feature their products in our stores”, said Brian J. Dunn, CEO of Best Buy.
We know to expect around six-to-eight smartphones coming our way from the Taiwanese manufacturer in Q3. The question is, how many of those will come as effect of the Beats partnership and, out of those, how many Android and how many Windows Phone? Could Zune weigh in here?
