According to publication DigiTimes, Dolby is looking to HTC to place Dolby sound technologies on HTC’s smartphones. As devices get more advanced and support more multimedia capabilities–as evident with the HTC EVO 4G with its fast, high-speed downlink and uplink capabilities on video–users can appreciate better audio experiences with video and audio streaming and playback on their smartphone purchases. Reportedly, Dolby has made agreements with NTT Docomo, LG Electronics, Lenovo, and Nokia and are looking to winning over HTC and Apple. In the past, handsets that have focused on an enhanced audio experience have used technologies from SRS called SRS Wow.
