HTC Handset Names Revealed in European Trademarks

Evan Blass | July 19, 2011 10:28 AM

HTC has filed for European trademark protection on four new brandings: HTC Dynamo, HTC Valiant, HTC Amuse, and HTC Amaze. The accompanying descriptions are both identical and fairly generic, failing to reveal anything specific about the would-be handsets. Notably, HTC has never filed a “red herring” application with OHIM — in other words, all of its marks have become names of actual phones.

If we had to take a guess, we’d speculate that two of these brands represent the upcoming Eternity and Omega Windows Phones, although we can’t forget about Prime, Ignite, and Bresson. Then there’s Holiday and Lead, but those Android models are likely AT&T exclusives for its LTE launch. Any other thoughts about these?
