Over at Sprint, the times, they are a-changin’. We’ve already seen a leaked roadmap revealing some upcoming smartphones for the carrier; now we can see which are nearing the end of their time with us, thanks to another leak, this time of the carrier’s end-of-life schedule for the next few months.
According to these EOL dates (which could always end up shifting around, especially the further-off ones), Sprint’s clearing some serious BlackBerry house, dropping the Style 9670 in just a few weeks, followed by the Bold 9650 and Curve 3G in September. With new BlackBerry models on the way, though, you should still have some choices.
The rugged i1 jumps ship sometime within the next month, but with the Motorola Titanium on Sprint, we won’t miss it. More Androids will leave the show near the start of fall, including the Samsung Transform slider, as well as the WiMAX-capable HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G. Again, there will be plenty of suitable replacements for these models still left in Sprint’s stable, but if you were dead-set on picking one up (and have been seriously procrastinating), you’d better get your act together before fall.
