US Cellular isn’t among the big four carriers in the US, which consists of Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless. However, the company is listing a handset on its rebate form, which gives subscribers a $70 debate card, with the nameof HTC Desire.
However, IntoMobile is speculating that the Desire that’s coming to US Cellular may not be the HTC Desire, but rather another device with a codename of Desire. That device happens to be the Droid Eris released on Verizon Wireless.
Whether or not US Cellular scored a major handset in the Android 2.1 HTC Desire or the codenamed Desire that turned out to be the Droid Eris is still unknown at the moment, though we only hope that the HTC Desire is really coming Stateside.
