Despite having dodged the multitouch question and stating that singular touch is better for one-handed operations, Google is now enabling multitouch into its bare-bones, non-customized version of Android 2.1 on the Google Nexus One. Touch is now capable in the Browser, Gallery, and Maps app for all the pinch-to-zoom goodness you can handle. There are also some 3G improvements as well, a welcome for those who have had trouble getting onto T-Mobile’s network.
If you haven’t seen the update, keep your eyes peeled as it should start trickling in by the end of the week.
We’re wondering, if Apple CEO calling Google’s “do no evil” motto as “crap” in a recent interview did enough to piss off our friendly robotic alien into giving us more power with our fingers.
