Dell’s President of Communication Solutions Ronald G. Garriques decided to leave the company as a yesterday’s filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission states.
He will go to his Dell office for the last time on January 28, 2011 — but will collaborate as a consultant throughout the year 2011 — after being with Dell since 2007 when the company brought him along from Motorola. While active in his position, Dell has re-entered the smartphone with the release of the Dell Streak Android slate-phone and the highly anticipated Dell Venue Pro Windows Phone 7 handset (which unfortunately didn’t see a flawless launch). With regards to the reasons of his leaving, Ronald G. Garriques declared that there was an internal reorganization that eliminated his communications solutions group
