We already know that China is the largest mobile market in the world, as it recently surpassed the United States, but according to a current report, the country now activates more Apple and Android devices than the U.S.
According to Flurry Inc., the shift happened in February when more iOS and Android-powered phones and tablets were activated in China than in the U.S. As you can see in the chart below, according to Flurry’s numbers, China accounted for 23% of total activations in February while the United States only for 22%. The projected situation for March is 24% to 21% in China’s advantage.
As far as the installed base is concerned, the U.S. is still in the lead but “China, a faster growing, emerging market, already has twice as large an installed base as the next largest market, the UK”. Hit up the source link to find out more details about the report.
