With leaks of a more modern BlackBerry 6.0 operating system leaked out earlier, now we’re seeing an actual forthcoming BlackBerry smartphone running said OS. It’s unclear if the yet to be released BlackBerry 9670 Flip will feature a touchscreen, but OS 6.0 was shown running on the device’s 480 X 360 display. The device features a full QWERTY keyboard that is reminiscent of the BlackBerry Bold series and has an optical trackpad as well.
In its current state, the 9670 Flip is operating on a CDMA radio, though Research in Motion is working on porting the product to be HSPA compatible for GSM networks. Other specs include a 5-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, microUSB and microSD memory slot, and a large external display.
