Of all the Nokia concept phones published on the manufacturer’s blog, the Nokia Kinetic is really something! Don’t let its aspect fool you; this baby stands up from flat down position in order to notify you of an incoming call, text, email or alarm. A ha, curious now?
The base of the phone, the bulk part at the bottom, features an electromagnet that allows a weight to be shifted whenever there’s a need to. In case of an incoming call for instance, the device stands up tall to notify you. Don’t want to take the call? Tap it back to flat and you’re all set. The dedicated camera button on the right side allows you to grip the smartphone like you would with an ordinary dSLR camera, from its grip.
This might be a student project but I’d get one of these on day one (maybe even two of these)! With its eight millimeters thickness at the top and 18 at the bulk bottom part, it sure looks ergonomic. Nokia, we want that with Windows Phone 7!
