AT&T Video Share is — or to be more exact, was — a 3G service that allowed users to share live video over phones while being in a voice call. We say it was as the carrier looks to be silently killing the service.
After seeing the message above received by subscribers, AT&T responded to Engadget’s inquiry and confirmed the kill. AT&T is discontinuing the Video Share service as it looks “ahead to the next generation of live, mobile video calling services, we’re evaluating new platforms and other ways we can evolve our mobile video calling offers”. If you are an active subscriber, your monthly plan will be prorated as per the text received by some.
