Rovio’s been no slouch when it comes to providing gamers level after new level of Angry Birds action. We’ve recently seen updates for the original Angry Birds, as well as the movie-tie-in Angry Birds Rio, but it’s been a couple months since there’s been any new level packs ready for Angry Birds Seasons. The follow-up to the Easter Eggs has now been revealed, with Summer Pignic on the way.
Oddly, for a title that’s been so focused on levels with associations to specific holidays, this looks like it will be the first update to actually identify itself with an entire season. It’s not like Rovio had much to choose from, with summer months dominated by national holidays rather than the internationally-celebrated fare that would be easily recognized by its disparate user base.
There’s no from Rovio on when exactly to look for Summer Pignic to arrive except for, obviously, summer. With only a few days left to round-out spring, these levels could be here by the end of the week. Realistically, we’d give Rovio a couple of weeks to get everything ready, and would be on the lookout for it in early-mid July.
