In a change of pace, the original Touch HD based on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile Professional mobile smartphone OS is getting a successor called the Touch HD2. The new device, however, will eschew Windows Mobile as the brain and go with Google’s Android operating system. Details are scant on the new handset at this time, but it is believed to sport a faster 628MHz Qualcomm processor along with a large 3.8-inch capacitive touchscreen for the Android platform.
