A Google ad reveals that Microsoft’s MyPhone service, which is expected to be upgraded to version 2.0, will be getting two new features: remote calendar and remote contacts. The move will bring a more complete feature-set from the enterprise Exchange environment to the consumer level. MyPhone already previously supported finding, remote locking, and remote wiping of Windows phone–security features that have been enjoyed by Exchange users and administrators. With remote synchronization and management of contacts and calendar appointments, users can essentially get “push calendar” and “push contact” synchronization. Along with Live or Hotmail email accounts from Microsoft, consumers can enjoy all the major bits and pieces of the Exchange environment.
