If a couple of tweets from littus are to believed (this person has apparently developed a reputation of correctly predicting Microsoft’s plans for its products), it looks like the next iteration of KIN devices will use a custom version of Windows Phone 7, allowing it to use Marketplace apps. The current generation of KIN phones won’t be able to update to this new platform. Also, KIN devices will continue to use the Nvidia Tegra platform, and will sport a new three-button configuration.
