The Prada III, or whatever it will be called, is rumored to be coming to Sprint in the US, marking the first time that the LG fashion phone will be offered subsidized for a US carrier. Also noteworthy is that the rumors point to the fact that the Prada III will be an Android handset, with a sliding keyboard, making it competitive with rival Verizon Wireless’ Motorola Droid. We’re wondering if this will be announced by LG and Sprint at CES this year?
The LG Prada series follows Samsung’s mobile strategy of bringing some iconic brands to the smartphone platform, like the Behold II, which got boosted from featurephone status to being a smartphone on Android 1.5.
