Look! It's Podzilla!

Roadwired's Podzilla case

By: Russ Smith | Date: 31-May-05 | Comments

INTRODUCTION

One of the things that drives portable computing enthusiasts is the ability to "take it with you."  We like the idea that you can carry a lot of functionality in a small amout of space.  That same focus is what drove Roadwired to develop the Podzilla case.

WHAT'S HOT

The Podzilla is Roadwired's larger cousin of the already famous Pod case.  Whereas the Pod is perfect for carrying a Pocket PC and all of the associated accessories, the Podzilla will allow you to carry larger personal electronics or cameras with their accessories or a number of smaller items while allowing quick access to the items you need and protecting the items you leave in the case.  The Podzilla sports over 20 pockets, flaps, and holders all enclosed in strong, water-repellent, Ballistic Nylon pack cloth.  Polyethelene sheets and extra padding add additional protection for the main compartment.  A shoulder strap and belt loops allow the case to be carried as you prefer.

PRODUCT FEATURES

The Podzilla case is made of sturdy, water-repellant Ballistic Nylon on the outside.

The back has a set of dual-height belt loops, backed with a moisture-wicking mesh for "no-sweat" carrying.

Inside, there is a slot for holding an identification card and a padded main compartment.  The main compartment is also protected by polyethelene panels within the outer walls.

The case comes with an insert that allows you to divide the main compartment as you choose.  The insert attaches to the inside compartment walls with Velcro strips.
(The insert is removed and sitting above the case in this picture.)

At the front of the case is a large zippered pocket containing slots for memory cards and holders for pens, pencils, or styli.

The flap of the front pocket has an additional webbing pocket for additional accessories.  The top closes with a Velcro fastener.

All of the pockets have "wings" on the sides to prevent them from dropping completely open and emptying contents onto the ground.

The left-side pocket has elastic holders for cards or cables and a Velcro-fastened additional flap pocket.

The right-side pocket has bungee holders for accessories or cables, elastic holders for cards, and a Velcro-fastened additional flap pocket.

Both of the side pockets also have a webbing pouch on the outside of the pocket for additional items.  Above the pocket, you can also see the loop for attaching the included shoulder strap.

All of the pockets have dual-pull, self-repairing zippers.
