   Sky Force is a fast-action, arcade shoot-’em-up in the Turjah style, though a lot more fun!

SETUP

    Sky Force uses a standard InstallShield-type Wizard to install the program on your Pocket PC. Setup is simple and straight-forward. I experienced no issues in installing and setting up the program, and I installed it to my storage card.

PROGRAM FEATURES

   Sky Force is a simple, no-nonsense (read: unneeded extras), fun experience. Infinite Dreams has put together a tightly programmed little gem that is pleasing to eye and will keep you coming back for more.

Sky Force’s Title Screen		Main Menu

   From the main screen you can start a new game, view the hi-scores table, set Sky Force’s options, view the credits, view the in-line help, and exit. When you start a new game, you can choose between Easy, Medium and Hard. In order to complete each level, you must survive it and complete the level’s requirements, which includes, normally, destroying a certain percentage of the level’s enemies. On the Easy level, the enemies are less agressive the Medium (Normal) level and you don’t have to destroy as much to complete the levels. On the Hard level, opponents are more aggressive and you have to destroy a higher percentage of your enemies.

Great graphics…		…sound & music

   The graphics of Sky Force are really great. Despite this, gameplay is fast and furious. Of course, there are power-ups for your weapons, special weapons (laser or missiles), extra lives, and shield replenishing power-ups (see the screenshot above). Everything in the game — its graphics, sound and in-game music — really add to the overall experience. This is vintage arcade fun!

Game Over stats		Hi-Scores Table

   What great arcade game would be complete without a stats screen showing your accomplishments and an ongoing hi-scores table? Below you can see the Sky Force options screen. Change the levels of sound, but also change the keyboard layout. Sky Force includes an auto-fire option which, when ‘On’, is my choice while playing.
