I’m not sure if this is new or not, however, I am now able to play YouTube videos, directly on my Dash, without any kind of conversion. Furthermore, the clips are not routed through Windows Media, rather are streamed directly in PIE.
I’m not referring to the m.youtube.com site either, this is via the regular desktop browser version, only using PIE. The clip opens immediately and begins streaming. Interestingly, I was able to stream over EDGE, but it was understandably slow. WiFi improved the situation.
I suspect this change could be in anticipation of the iPhone? One problem, it does consume memory pretty quickly; a reboot was required at the end of some clips.
Anyone else try this out?
