We’ve been reporting about Manila 2.5 in the last couple of weeks when we offered a tour of TouchFLO 3D 2.5 and thoroughly presented the new Calendar features (and not only) that it brings but seems XDA Developers have been busy with it this time too.
Looks like it’s just a matter of a few days that the new UI from upcoming HTC Devices will be ported to VGA pretty much in the same way Rhodium’s TouchFLO 3D was. Given the unstable nature of the first Manila 2.5 leaks you shouldn’t expect a bug free experience, nevertheless it will be a great accomplishment again for the XDA community.
Whether it will be available on its own or it will be needing cook-in custom ROMs (my bet goes to second) is yet unknown but you should know that Manila 2.5 does not seem to support Windows Mobile 6.1 (yes, 6.5 and above only), this seems to add some credibility to our earlier speculations that Windows Mobile 6.5 is likely to support capacitive touch screens.
