A lot of mystery surrounding Microsoft’s “Project Pink” lately and it seems that we finally have some revealing renders to go along with the hype. Gizmodo has leaked shots of two Pink phones the Turtle and Pure.
The Turtle resembles the Palm Pre with its shell-like appearance and vertical slide out keyboard, while the Pure looks to be a traditional candy bar slider. Aside from their plastic make up and oversimplified look, the images may also be revealing that these phones are indeed targeted towards a younger audience.
Gizmodo reports that both handsets will be made by Sharp and aimed at the same market as the Sidekick. It’s also expected that the Pink phones will sport Zune services and an app store. Zune phone, anyone?
While these could just be early mock-ups of the devices, I can’t help but feel a little disappointed. We’ll have to see how things shape up, once more details are leaked regarding specs. What do you guys think of the cosmetics and possible hardware of the two devices?
