While already offering a basic Bing client for Android, Microsoft is ready to release a full featured version for the platform after its Bing app for the iPhone has been downloaded more than 4 million times.
Satya Nadella, Microsoft Senior Vice President, announced Tuesday that far from being regarded as a victory, Bing gained close to five percentage points of market share in the first 12 months. So, with the full-featured Bing search client for Android coming in the next six weeks, those tired of Google search or simply into something new will have an alternative: Bing Android client with new mapping features and new TV listings feature currently in testing and about to launch.
