Compaq has issued two customer advisories related to problems customers may be having with Pocket PC 2002 iPAQs.
The first advisory explains that when running multiple applications on the iPAQ Pocket PC, the system performance may diminish. You may experience sluggish performance or delayed response time to screen taps up to and including lock-ups on the device. The advisory also says that it may be necessary to manually terminate running applications to achieve a normal operating state.
The second advisory says that an iPAQ Pocket PC may report ‘Unable to load Bluetooth stack’ Error if several applications are running when the Bluetooth radio is turned ON. Due to a limited amount of virtual program memory available within Microsoft Pocket PC, this error message may occur. The Bluetooth Manager, when combined with other programs may utilize a significant amount of the virtual program memory. This advisory recommends performing a soft reset.
These two advisories are revision 0, which means that Compaq is aware of the problem and is also working toward a more suitable solution.
