Among the four major US carriers, Sprint’s the last man standing when it comes to truly unlimited data. Sure, T-Mobile might let you keep on downloading past its caps, but at a snail’s pace. If you’ve got some serious data needs, the best option right now looks like getting on-board with Hesse and company.
When the next iPhone comes out, Sprint is expected to get its first shot at being one of the carriers on which the phone is available; will this affect its unlimited data offering? A new report says “no”, and that Sprint will be the sole US carrier to give its users an iPhone 5 experience with unlimited data.
Bloomberg cites sources “familiar with the matter” that the coming iPhone will arrive on Sprint this October. The phone’s launch would signal the first time there’s some real carrier competition for sales of the phone right out of the gate, and it’s expected that Sprint’s ability to offer subscribers unlimited data could be a coup for the network.
If you’re picking up an iPhone 5 once it launches, have you already made up your mind when it comes to the carrier you’ll go with?
