If yesterday’s Apple Store App update – allowing you to easily reserve your next White iPhone 4 – gave you hope that you no longer have to wait that much to get your next gadget, the Cupertino company wakes you up with a cold shower as it (again) postpones the launch of the highly anticipated handset.
If you’re somewhat disappointed that the White iPhone 4 was not released neither back in June together with the black one, nor in July to where it got postponed, nor at the end of this year to where again it got delayed, Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller didn’t explain the new delay till Spring 2011 but in fact said that the Company is “sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone again”. Whether the White iPhone 4 is really more difficult to manufacture because there allegedly is a color matching problem, backlight problem, antenna problem, iProblem of any sort or just plain marketing we don’t know but looks like Santa will not bring you folks any White iPhone 4s this year.
Update: According to a BGR source, the Cupertino company has no intentions of releasing the White iPhone 4 (ever, at least not in the form we’re expecting it) and it predicts another “delay” around March (that is Spring 2011, the date Apple delayed the product to) where we’ll hear about the iPhone 5 being released somewhere in June/July, an year after the iPhone 4 launch. BGR claims its source is connected with manufacturing sources of its own and these are keeping quiet about the issue at hand. All this is to be filed under Rumor (capital R) till we hear official word.
