Last night we saw a Best Buy screenshot apparently confirming the big-box retailer’s intentions to start selling the iPhone 4′s new white version this Wednesday, April 27. While we knew that white iPhones were in the works for both AT&T and Verizon, this leak only showed an AT&T model, leaving us wondering if there would be a delay bringing the Verizon edition to market. Now a second source with access to Best Buy’s computers has stepped forward, finally showing the white Verizon iPhone 4.
The white iPhone 4 is arguably more of a coup for Verizon than AT&T, as this will be the first iPhone hardware to launch simultaneously on the two carriers, following the end of AT&T’s long stretch of exclusivity. Without either carrier having a leg up, it’s surprising we haven’t seen a big marketing push by either to help drive sales their way. Apple may just be waiting until the revamped iPhone 4 is available in stores before giving the nod to advertise the model.
Look for all flavors of the iPhone 4 – white, black, 16GB, 32GB, AT&T, and Verizon – to finally be available this Wednesday.
